The Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists is a professional association that represents student pharmacists who intend to practice in hospitals, health maintenance organizations, long-term care facilities, home infusion, and in various other clinical roles of the health care system. The organization includes students at the local, state (FSHP-SC), and national (ASHP) levels by providing programs and resources concerned with career opportunities, residencies, and the ever-expanding role of clinical pharmacists as part of the health care team. Monthly meetings are held at LECOM and Student Chapter members are also invited to attend the SRSHP meetings. Student Chapter membership includes membership in FSHP and SRSHP. Student Chapter members are strongly encouraged to join the national organization, ASHP. This affords the opportunity to participate in events at the state or national level.
